Terms & Conditions
Situation: Lower Anchorage is situated in the middle of
Hugh Town, overlooking the harbour and is two minutes away
from the quay.
Tariff: The weekly rate for 2012 is £1175.00 in the
high season which runs from July to the first week of September.
The remainder of the season starts from £775. Rates
are inclusive of heating, electricity and hot water. Please

and relevant tariffs for your preferred dates.
Linen: Linen and towels are provided but not beach towels.
Bookings: Bookings are usually only accepted for a complete
week commencing on a Thursday. Please check our Availability
Calendar to see if your preferred dates are available. Although
the calendar is updated regularly we recommend you do telephone
or email to discuss your booking. If you require a winter
break we are happy to discuss shorter stays and different
arrival days. The property may only be occupied by the agreed
number of guests at the time of booking. If you wish to amend
the number of guests this must be agreed in advance of your
stay. Please print and return the attached booking
form.
Deposits and Reservations: Offers of reservation are usually
held for a period of one week. Verbal bookings are only confirmed
after receipt of a deposit of £100 per week. Deposits
are non-refundable but please see note about insurance. When
booking please make your travel reservations as flights are
often fully booked some time in advance. Helicopter prices
are cheaper arriving in the afternoon and departing in the
morning. There is a shuttle service from the Heliport which
meets every Skybus and helicopter flight.
Payment of Bills: We do not accept credit cards. The balance
of your account is due to be settled one month before arrival.
All cheques should be made payable to Mrs K Snowball. If
you would prefer to pay by bank transfer, details of my bank
account will be made available.
Cancellation and Insurance: Lower Anchorage is let on the
understanding that in the event of a cancellation, a charge
equal to two thirds of the full rate will be made. This amount
is refundable if the week can be re-let. Whilst we do our
best to re let we strongly advise that insurance is taken
out to avoid such eventuality. We regret that we cannot make
allowances for absences occasioned by transport disruptions.
Arrivals and Departures: Guests are requested to vacate
by 10.00am. There is a safe place for your luggage to be
stored and those arriving before 2.00pm are equally welcome
to leave their luggage there.
Dogs: Regrettably we are unable to take bookings for dogs.
However, the owners will occasionally bring their own dog
with them.
Smoking: Lower Anchorage is non smoking.
Banks: Lloyds and Barclays have branches
on St Mary's. There is a cash machine available at Lloyds
Bank.
